Wren Miller will be a 2022 graduate of Grandview High School and is the child of Cyndi Miller. Their favorite activity to do with their family is to go to museums. Their favorite childhood memory is baking cookies with their mom.
Wren Miller has been involved in fall golf for four years, robotics team 2560 for two years, National Honor Society for two years, and theatre Troupe 2906 for one year at Grandview. The activity they enjoy the most is theatre because they’ve made a family that they will always remember. Their favorite high school memory is when their robotics team got to go to state championships. The class Wren enjoyed the most was tech theatre because they got to learn a lot about theatre and learn about their passions. Their biggest pet peeve is when people stop walking in the middle of the hallway. Outside of school, Wren enjoys volunteering at a local animal shelter and crocheting. The three words that best describe them are supportive, excited, and kind . After High School, Wren plans to attend Mizzou for either biology or technical theatre. They have a $50,000 scholarship to attend MU. In 10 years, they see themself working in a job they love and living with friends. Three things on their bucket list are to see the northern lights, see a LIVE Broadway show, and be part of an orchestra again . The person they admire most is their mom because she’s done so much. She’s been through so much and keeps going. She is so positive and does so much for the people she cares about. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Wren was Mr. Stringer because he was there all four years of high school. He helped Wren learn that not everyone is going to see eye-to-eye with you, but that doesn’t mean that they are any different than them. The thing Wren will miss the most about Grandview High School is the support they’ve gotten from all the teachers. If there was one way they could be remembered at GHS, it would be to be one of Mokler’s stories that she tells to the freshman. Those people seemed so cool and it would be amazing to be a part of that story. The advice Wren would give underclassmen is to go with the flow and be yourself. As long as you’re happy, keep doing it. Don’t spend your time worrying or doing things that make you unhappy. Wren would like to thank Mokler again for everything she’s done. She’s been so supportive and is one of the reasons Wren still comes to school. Mokler has been so supportive and Wren is so sad that they didn’t meet her earlier. Thank you for everything Mrs. Mokler.

Luke Foster will be a 2022 graduate of Grandview High School and is the son of Bill and Tonya Foster and brother of Layne Foster. His favorite activity to do with his family is going to church. His favorite childhood memory is going to Silver Dollar City and riding all the rollercoasters with his brother.
Luke has been involved in Grandview theatre every year since he was in sixth grade. He has served as the treasurer for troupe 2906 during his sophomore year and the president for both his junior and senior years. Aside from theatre, Luke has also been a part of the school’s varsity tennis team for two years. The activity he enjoys most is playing sports with his church friends because of the fun and inevitable hilarity that it brings. His/her favorite high school memory is when he played the role of Corny Collins in the production of Hairspray his sophomore year. The class Luke enjoyed the most was Theatre III because no matter what assignment that was being worked on, there was always a way for the class to have a good laugh about it. His biggest pet peeve is immaturity in those who should be mature. Outside of school, Luke enjoys going to church and eating out with friends. If he had one wish it would be to fly so that he would be able to skip highway traffic. The three words that best describe him are leader, charismatic, and dedicated. After High School, Luke plans to attend UMKC to earn his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. In 10 years, he sees himself/herself with a beautiful family and a job that allows him to talk in order to make a living. Three things on his/her bucket list are to travel to Israel, go skydiving, and get married. The people he/she admires most is his parents because of their constant dedication to ensuring that he is set up to make a life of his own. The teacher/coach that had the biggest impact on Luke is Mokler because of not only the theatrical advice she gave him but also the random life lessons that she somehow managed to tie into the most boring class lessons. The thing Luke will miss the most about Grandview High School is the many people that he realizes he will likely never see again. If there was one way he/she could be remembered at GHS, it would be that he was a student who was ahead of his years and made footprints that other students try to follow in. The advice Luke would give underclassmen is get involved with extracurricular activities and be outgoing! High school may seem like a long time but it goes by much quicker than you think and you won’t want to have regrets. So get out there and get going! Her favorite high school memory is when she and some other friends played board games in the back of the dark wrestling room, while the troupe watched a movie on the last show day of The Crucible (2022). The class Emma Lewis enjoyed the most was AP Psychology because she loved learning about behavior, brain chemistry, and how people work and why. Her biggest pet peeve is when people put undue responsibility onto her simply because they don’t want to fulfill their own responsibility. Outside of school, Emma Lewis enjoys writing, reading, playing video games, watching media, participating in Cappies and the Coterie Roundtable. If she had one wish it would be to provide her and everyone she knows with simple financial freedom, so that they could all do what they wanted to and go to the college they want, with no worries. She was always accommodating when Emma needed it, and Emma knew she could trust her. The thing Emma Lewis will miss the most about Grandview High School is the relationships she made along the way, and being able to see everyone almost every day. If there was one way she could be remembered at GHS, it would be as the person you can go to when you’re sad, that will cheer you up. The advice Emma Lewis would give underclassmen is to work hard at everything they do, make and take care of friends, and do stuff outside of school; you will make life-long friendships and skills. Emma wants every one to know: One of the most important parts of your time in high school is to enjoy yourself. Work hard, and join clubs, but don’t overload yourself.Thank you! :) Patience Kalu will be a 2020 graduate of Grandview High School.

Her favorite high school memory is when she lost her voice at her first ever football game. Her favorite theatre memory is when she went to ThesCon and made waffles and ate oranges in the hotel room. Her favorite role in theatre has been Toby Belch because it was a funny character that she doesn’t usually get to act out. The character also had a lot of lines, so it stretched her acting abilities. Adrienne has been involved in choir for two years and in theatre for three years and is an official ITS member at Grandview. The activity she enjoys most is theatre because she gets to express herself in the silliest of ways and act alongside some of her best friends. Her favorite high school memory is when she stayed up late on the last night of Thespian Conference with her roommates. Her favorite role in theatre was Penny Pingleton in Hairspray because she actually knew what she was doing that time, she loved the costume, and acting like a twitterpated schoolgirl was a lot of fun. The class Adrienne enjoyed the most was Concert Choir because it involved two of her favorite things: making music and making fun of Mr. Horton. Her biggest pet peeves are when people take a delicious dessert and then put fruit in it, and when people set the AC to 50. If she had one wish it would be to be able to eat whatever she wants and not get fat. The three words that best describe her are loud, genuine, and optimistic. After high school, Adrienne plans to get a job and save for her future, do some traveling, serve a mission for her church, and become a photographer. In 10 years, she sees herself as a badass working mom and married. Three things on her bucket list are to go to New York, to perform the messiah in a choir, and to go to the ocean. The person she admires most is her mother because she is one of the most patient, forgiving, and selfless people Adrienne knows. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Adrienne is Mr. Horton because he has inspired her to not give up, to do what she loves, and he’s cheered her on every day that she’s known him. The things Adrienne will miss the most about Grandview High School are being in the auditorium, running around with no shoes on, and the smell of Mokler’s room and the choir hallway. If there was one way she could be remembered at GHS, it would be how she was the least scary Senior. And how she tried to respect and be a friend to everyone. The advice Adrienne would give to underclassmen is don’t give up. Don’t quit. That’s probably what everyone says, but it’s true. Do whatever it takes to achieve those goals you wrote down in middle school. It’s not going to be easy, but it’ll all be worth it when you finally get there. Love y’all! The person he/she admires most is her mother because she is unapologetically herself, puts others before herself, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind . The teacher/coach that had the biggest impact on Sydney is Mr. Montoya because he made her realize that even if she falls behind and doesn’t succeed at first, there will always be someone to encourage you and push you past your mistakes. The thing Sydney will miss the most about Grandview High School is walking through the halls with her friends, and the relationships she built with the teachers she had. If there was one way she could be remembered at GHS, it would be as a leader and a friend in theatre, through funny stories and memories of the underclassmen . The advice Sydney would give underclassmen is and never change yourself for people who are only with you temporarily. Better yourself for you and you only. Sydney wants to be sure to thank her parents, siblings, uncles, cousins, boyfriend, and friends for their nonstop love and support, no matter how annoying and stressful she could be at times. Three things on her bucket list are to visit Jerusalem, see the ocean, and build a shelter for the homeless in her community. The person she admires most is Ms. Schaefer because of her outstanding work as an English teacher. She not only taught English, but she also prepared her students for the real world. The teacher that had the biggest impact on Alexiss is Ms. Mokler because she helped Alexiss navigate being homeless for her final year of high school. She helped Alexiss navigate the healthcare system, filing for taxes, and applying to colleges. Ms. Mokler was a true mentor to Alexiss, and she played a pivotal role in Alexiss’s success. The thing Alexiss will miss the most about Grandview High School is walking into class on a Monday morning, and Mr. Horton will already be singing the upcoming concert songs in his brightly colored pants. If there was one way she could be remembered at GHS, it would be as an example of overcoming extreme adversity. The advice Alexiss would give underclassmen is to never lose sight of your goals. Life often takes a bad turn, but you cannot let that stop. Keep going and make the best out of it. In the middle of the first semester, Alexiss left her home in hopes for a better life. She chose to come back to Grandview from Clinton because she knew that Grandview was a community that would support her through her homelessness.
